There is a right (orthodox) side to the Windows 10 start menu (groups & tiles), and a left side (alphabetical words) ... where that left side comprises at least two components (user and global). So that makes for three locations, if you consider both the alphabetical and orthodox portions of the Windows 10 Start Menu.

2. I just right clicked on a shortcut in the Start Menu and chose Open File Location. The location of all the shortcuts is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. This is the folder I'm directed to from All apps as well as the Most used list. The tiles are for Windows Store Apps which are stored in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps.

2. They are in the Windows App folder located in the C:\Program Files folder. This is a hidden folder (and probably should stay that way) but you can un-hide it in File Explorer - View - Folder Options. My answer was disliked and deleted. – anon.

Easy steps to reproduce (they are not stored there): Unlink any CALC you can have to not get confused. Run CALC.EXE. Tell Windows you want it to stay on task bar (Pinned) Go to that path and it is not there. The same happens for all the rest i mention: Edge, Photos, Paint 3D; and maybe some more.

Pass shortcut's path to the runner (e.g. C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\AppShortcut.lnk). This worked and my problem solved. But I didn't understand where is main executable! You actually DO understand where the main executable is, given that your screenshot shows that you found it.

Store Apps and games are located in this folder: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. That folder is highly protected and cannot be accessed. No they cannot be reinstalled like traditional applications - they must be re-installed from the Microsoft Store on your Microsoft Account.

If you also want to know where they are stored. here you go."C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge_proxy.exe". here is the explanation from docs.microsoft.com. This is a small file that redirects the shortcut to the main msedge.exe application. So it is where the files are saved.

shell:appsfolder is likewise a union: it shows both your"regular" installed apps, i.e. those things found in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) together with any Windows Store Apps you have installed. Windows Store Apps do not show in either of the C:\Program Files* directories, they are instead placed in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps.

Press Windows + R type shell:appsfolder and press enter. It will open the Apps Folder, right-click the app you want to create the shortcut > Create shortcut, it will place the shortcut on the desktop. If the shortcut does not work for Rocketdock (or other apps you want to use), on the application, point to the shortcut path to open the app.
